Exhausted and in need of advice for better balance

Question: Hello, I struggle a lot with too much stress at night. I charge very poorly. I fast periodically, do strength training 3 days a week, go for regular walks and I use breathing meditation a lot. I’m abstinent and I don’t smoke, either. It is possible that I eat too little within the 8 hours? Sleep varies a lot due to a number of pains in the body. I don’t take medication, but I do take painkillers when it hurts too much. I have a lot of mental stress in my everyday life, which doesn’t make it any better. I need some good advice on how to find a better balance. I feel very tired and the fatigue is getting worse. The picture I have attached is how it often looks at night. The average stress recently is 41. Body battery is barely 40/50 in the morning.

Answer: Hello dear! Here are 5 specific tips that I hope can help you:
1. Stop several times a day and take a breather. Use your breathing meditation or do this: Breathe in through your nose while counting to 4. Exhale through your mouth and count to 6. Repeat 3 rounds.
2. Practice talking calmly to your brain now that you are experiencing a lot of mental stress. For example: “This is going well. It is not dangerous”.
3 . Use your senses when walking. Leave your mobile phone and earphones at home. See, hear, feel and smell your surroundings.
4. Walk barefoot in the grass and ground yourself every day. When doing this regulary, the mental stress often calms down.
5. Use Yoga nidra or a body scan when you go to bed.
If this does not help, it may be a good idea to contact a doctor to check metabolism, sex- and stress hormones, as well as your vitamin- and mineral balance.
Lots of luck to you!
Regards, Dr. Ragnhild
