The body battery value decreases at different rates
Question: Hello. I have discovered that the times I wake up with 90+ in body battery, the value drops faster than if I wake up with a low value. What is the reason for that?
Answer: Hi, good question! I have also observed this. I’m not quite sure why. It seems that the body battery drains faster between 100 and 75, and seems that at the other end (fortunately) it drains more slowly between 25 and 5. As I said, I’m not sure why, but these are algorithms from Firstbeat analytics. They have over 20 years of experience in measurements. I don’t get too hung up on this, but choose to think that what is good enough is best. Even after a year and a half of thousands of feedbacks and insights into people’s physiology (after my book “The Pulse Cure” was published), it seems that my advice to try to get 80 in the body battery in the morning and preferably not below 20 at in the evening, is what seems to be best compatible with a healthy lifestyle with surplus for everyday challenges. Of the 10-12 different instruments I have used so far, it is the Garmin body battery system that seems closest to my experience of available energy in everyday life.
